A fun, everyday item to make while exploring different stitch patterns and color combinations, and they make fine gifts. They Have a “vintage” look, knit up quickly and make a good “stash-buster” for all your cotton yarn.
Start a “stitch cloth” “dish cloth” club.

Prairie Boots

boots_wheatgreen.jpg
Instructor: Heidi 2 classes Wednesdays $40.00

Comfy and cozy Prairie Boots will get you through the coldest of winters. Turn them down for ankle length or leave them up to keep your shins warm. You don’t need to seam – just add funky buttons and they are ready to wear. Warning: it is so fun to watch them take shape on your needles that you may become addicted. But that’s okay, they make great gifts!

If you’ve never used Alchemy yarn you are in for a treat. There is no substitute for this yarn. I have yet to find another yarn that possesses the same magical qualities. This hood will keep you covered in LUXury!
Skills learned: button holes, 3 needle bind off, the advantage of a slip stitch edge, picking up stitches, and how to follow a pattern.

Perfect travel knitting. This is a great beginning lace project that is not scary or difficult. It can be made to look casual or elegant, rustic or feminine. Bonus you learn emily ocker’s circular cast on, YO, picot BO and other little things. This project starts on d.p.n.’s and then you switch to circulars.
materials: elizabeth zimmermans knitters almanac. required to read the july chapter p.71-83, this will help you determin what needle size you need.
Materials list: 10-12 oz of elemental effects fingering weight wool. you can use any fingering weight wool, koigu would be lovely.
