Knit up a pair of cozy and beautiful hand warmers while building skills in lace work, knitting on two circular needles, pattern reading, and making a thumb gusset.
Materials list:Our sample was knit using 2 skeins of Organik from the Fiber Company. Any smooth yarn that will knit to 5 stitches per inch in stockinette stitch. Approximately 120 yards. Also bring closed ring stitch markers, yarn needle and 2 circular needles in needle size appropriate for gauge. It helps if the needles are different lengths and/or color~one 24″ and one 36″, for example. Sample used 1 yard of ribbon if you’d like to do the same!

A super cute tank that can be worn alone, or as a layering piece over short or long sleeved tees, turtlenecks, or whatever you like. Versatile, and light weight, the length of the tank can be shorter or longer, as you wish! You can measure a favorite top from underarm to hem edge to get an idea about your desired length. This piece is knit in-the-round up to the underarm.

We used ShiBui linen (3 skeins) and size 7 needles for the store sample. One note: Before washing, the length to the underarm measured 18 inches. After washing (by hand, hang dry) the length relaxed to 19 inches.

Recommended yarn gauge: 4.5 - 6 inches per inch, with needles to meet gauge; 2 stitch holders and 4 stitch markers.
Approximate yardage: 600 yds for 18 inch length.
