Colca Canyon Cowl and Free pattern

20131126-070830.jpg My Mom is the cowl making Queen. She loves them and we all wear them. A cowl is quick, usually simple and keeps you warm. They are a great holiday gift - and did I mention how fast they can be knit?! Mom's latest invention is with the Plymouth yarn Colca Canyon. It's 80% baby alpaca (yum!) and 20% merino and has 48 yards and $18 a skein. She knit it in an evening and I'm sure will be wearing it today at the shop today! The pattern takes 3 skeins, 2 grey, 1cream and size 13 needles (I prefer Dreams) Pattern: Size 13 needle Cast on is 88 K2 p2 Color changes: *4 rows grey Switch to 1 row cream 1 row grey till run out of cream 3 rows grey* Cast off in pattern Happy Thanksgiving week! Have fun knitting! xx Ash 20131126-072410.jpg

    Hi Margaret,
It’s one long loop wrapped twice around the neck. I will see if it’s not put away for the season;D and if not I will take a photo.
This is a cold day favorite for us
