Something cool I wanted to share. The Napa Valley College contacted Mary, of Twirl, and asked if she'd like to bring some sheep over to take care of the grass. Now we are in a draught and water is a big issue for our local farmers. The animals grazing is their food supply. Things are pretty bare and dry these days. Ugh! Which means tapping (quite literally) into the water reserves on the property. Not good considering it's not even summer yet. So when the college contacted Mary she was more than happy to help. This was a smart move for the college and so helpful for Mary and her animals. Win win! It was a hot day and where they needed to grass "mowed" was under the solar panels.... Um perfect! Shade for the animals and everything. Community is where it's at. People considering others is so heartwarming. I looove it!! Mary shared some photos with me of those fluffy babes. They also brought along some body gaurds.
Happy knitting! xx Ash
I want to thank you (Knitterly) for all the beautiful yarns and patterns in the Yarn Hop prize basket – I will be watching your class schedule so I can add to my skills and turn these skeins into gifts. Thanks again, Nancy
