Be Sweet Ponchini

Good morning my happy Knit A Longers. How is the Ponchini coming along for you? You finding time to make it or feeling crunched to get it done before July?? I know I am. I think I perform better under pressure. I am not saying I easily work under pressure or that I like it, but I do seem to get things done by the skin of my teeth. With three kids under five ( and not counting the every day life.. eh hum ) I barely find time to shower. Yep that smell is me;D Stinky over here pulling knitting needles from my hair - and my couch crevices. I do love to knit and even more than knitting I love the end result. I love wearing something I made with my own hands. Seeing something start out as a ball of yarn and end up as a wearable garment - great feeling! It fuels the creative fires for me. Creativity begets creativity. Also the competitive side of me just wants to finish it before you 😜 I am an over committer- so I'll probably be busting out my last repeat in the wee hours before the clock strikes midnight July 1! Have I given it away that I am not close to the end? I am standing still with one foot on the start line actually. I dropped a marker and have had to rip back (damn YO's). Thought I had ripped far enough only to count my stitches and find I am two short. Err! After staring at my measly piece of knitting wondering if I can sneak a couple more yarn overs in somewhere... I remebered you all will be checking out my skills when I am wearing this in August ( when I return as shop girl ) So... once again ripping, What the french toast?! How is yours going? Breezy? Tangled mess? Do you love it? (Of course you do😘) I have to say I really love my yarn and if I could focus longer - the pattern is awesome. Spill the beans and leave me a comment about your KAL. Happy Knitting! xx Ash

I started last Friday. Had a few setbacks, yes, those darn YO! Not knitting as fast as I usually do, but no mistakes so far. The is so soft, just love it. I am now just finishing repeat #2 and plan on doing a repeat everyday :) minimum, if life permits.

Now way I could finish this if I were in school, but it is a fun knit! I feel your pain on rip back. I breezed past the second eyelet by mistake and didn’t notice it for too long so I just kept it and repeated where appropriate. Love the yarn. I just completed the fifth repeat. Hoping to finish this weekend while traveling to East coast.

I love your goal! Send me a photo once you finish. I can’t wait to see.
And my busy life isn’t leaving even minutes to knit ha ha

Ha ha. I am having a hard time finding time with my own kids😜 I just need a long car ride. Can’t wait to see your finished product!
