Ever since I spied Edison Bulb on the shelves of the shop I sent out the pink vibe - the hot pink vibe. I knew there had to be an equally amazing pink. I kept saying to my Mom "They have to have it!' she assured me no it doesn't exist. Well I crashed the last pow wow Mom was having with Marge, her Madelinetosh yarn rep and guess what they were holding in their hot little hands?! A color card with the very hot pink I had been dreaming of. So bright it takes you back to '92. It was a long while waiting for it to come in. It's love at first sight with some colors/fibers/ textures. This yarn I day dreamed making into a winter hat and a sweater for my daughter and a splash on a pair of cozy fingerless gloves for cold california coast nights roasting marshmallows in my backyard. I now have it in my possesion and took such pleasure hand rolling every turn into the happiest most delicious smelling yarn a girl could ask for. The yarn it self inspires. I have face splitting grin as I walked out of the yarn shop with it sitting ontop of my stroller. Everytime I looked down I gave it a loving smile. People thought I was exited for my three munchkins but really I couldn't wait to be alone with my yarn. I wanted to hoard every skein but I am sure my Mom woud cut me off and I'd be cold turkey from Madtosh and we all know that would not be pretty. So I have one amazing skein that will be turned from string into fabric before another 24 hours goes by. I have not had a yarn crush so hard since Edison Bulb walked into my life. Or when I first discovered Knit Collage and the amazing sparkle magic they create. The wooly smell and bits of ribbon and tinsel that make me want to drape it all over my house ( and I do) I can honestly say my life is better with Madelinetosh and the amazing colors Amy comes up with. I say fall in love with as many yarns as possible and give them a new life as a garment to be loved and worn for years (decades even) Knit what you love. xx Ash
